Sign up here.\n\nThe Gunners have made England star Morgan Rogers a top summer target but will reportedly turn to Gibbs-White should they fail in their efforts to sign the Aston Villa man.\n\nTottenham, who came close to signing Gibbs-White last summer, Aston Villa and Chelsea are also believed to be ‘admirers’ of a player who helped Nottingham Forest secure their Premier League survival.\n\nDespite the substantial interest from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, Forest ‘expect’ Gibbs-White to stay for at least one more season, according to the Daily Mail.\n\nGibbs-White impressed for Forest last season (Picture: Getty)\n\nGibbs-White signed a new three-year contract at the City Ground after Spurs activated his £60m release clause last summer, meaning Forest are in a strong negotiating position.\n\nThere is also a belief at Forest that while several clubs admire Gibbs-White, he is not yet the first-choice target for either Arsenal or Manchester United.\n\nUnited’s focus in the early part of the summer has been on midfield reinforcements and Brazil’s Ederson has already been signed in a £35m deal from Atalanta.\n\nArsenal are interested in the Forest star (Picture: Getty)\n\nBut new permanent head coach Michael Carrick wants at least one more midfielder to arrive at Old Trafford following the departure of Casemiro and the ongoing uncertainty over Manuel Ugarte.\n\nArsenal, meanwhile, are interested in signing Argentina striker Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid but are aware the deal will not be straightforward.\n\nAtletico want over £100m for the former Manchester City star and Barcelona appear to be leading Arsenal in the transfer race.\n\nDiscussing Arsenal’s transfer plans after the Premier League title triumph, Josh Kroenke said: ‘The business never stops. Right now there are already other teams who are trying to strengthen and come at us for next season.\n\n‘We need to be aware of that. We’ve already had a few different conversations about different areas where we think we can improve on and off the pitch.\n\n‘I am looking forward to getting that going this summer but it’s going to be an interesting one because of the World Cup but fortunately everyone is coming to the United States so I don’t have to travel.’\n\n**For more stories like this, check our sport page**.\n\n**Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on**Facebook,** Twitter and Instagram**.\n\nComment now Comments \nAdd Metro as a Preferred Source on Google\nAdd as preferred source\n",
