A vehicle tyre, especially a radial tyre for a car, comprises a running strip composed of two different mixtures. The strip section in contact with the road consists of a harder mixture with a larger E' modulus, whereas the adjacent shoulder regions consist of a softer mixture with a smaller E' modulus. The strip is coated in the radial direction, and a sub layer (7a) is located inside the softer mixture section (8), which consists of the harder E' modulus material which also has a higher Shore A hardness. The lower layer consists of the harder mixture. The running strip is arranged asymmetrically.
