The equipment mounting bracket has a foot (1), a pillar (2) and a holding plate (7) connected to it via a lockable joint mechanism (4,5) for attaching an equipment holder or equipment item. The joint mechanism is connected to a telescopic element (3) guided in the pillar, optionally withdrawable out of the pillar up to a maximum distance determined by the structure and lockable (21,33) in the withdrawn position.
