A controller controls an output to a display mounted on a vehicle including an operating member operated to implement a traveling operation. The controller includes a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and an execution device. The storage medium stores a first video file for playback of a first video and a second video file for playback of a second video. At least one of the first video and the second video includes an image simulating a traveling state of the vehicle. The execution device is configured to cause the display to display the second video in place of the first video on condition that one of the operating members has been operated while the first video is displayed on the display of the vehicle in a stationary state.
