The invention relates to a heating and cooling device (1) for a battery, in particular of a motor vehicle, - with an electrically conductive base plate (2) for thermal coupling to the battery, wherein in the base plate (2) at least one fluid path (6) is provided for flow-through with a coolant, by means of which the battery can be cooled, - with a carrier plate (3) made of an electrically non-conductive material, in which at least one electrical heating element (4) electrically connected to the electrically conductive base plate (2) is inserted, - with an electrically conductive cover plate (5) which is electrically connected to the electrical heating element (4), - wherein the base plate (2), the carrier plate (3) and the cover plate (5) are stacked on top of one another along a stacking direction (S).
