Lifting device for a vehicle axle (3) of a vehicle (1), with a steering arm support (16) connected to a vehicle frame (5) of the vehicle (1) and extending downward, a steering arm (11) pivotably mounted on the steering arm support (16) about a pivot axis (15), which is fastened at a distance from the pivot axis (15) to an axle body (8) of the vehicle axle (3), a console (17) arranged below the pivot axis (15) and rigidly connected to the steering arm support (16), and a linear drive (12) comprising a lifting rod (21), by actuation of which the lifting rod (21) is translationally movable, wherein the linear drive (12) is fastened to the steering arm (11) provided with a through-hole (20), through which the lifting rod (21) extends in the direction of the console (17), against which the lifting rod (21) is pushable by actuation of the linear drive (12) and thereby the vehicle axle (3) is liftable.
