FUEL TANK WITH AN ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING THE FUEL LEVEL IN THE FUEL TANK WITH SIGNAL SUPPRESSION FOR CRITICAL NEGATIVE PRESSURE DURING THE REGENERATION OF THE ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER

The invention relates to a fuel tank (1) for an internal combustion engine (6) and a method for displaying the fill level or fill volume of the fuel tank (1), wherein the fill level or fill volume is determined, a signal correlated with the fill level or fill volume is generated and supplied to a tank gauge (14), and wherein the signal is modified upon a deformation of the fuel tank (1). It is provided that the modification of the signal is triggered during the regeneration of an activated charcoal filter (21) communicating with the fuel tank (1) or in dependence on the opening state of a valve (24) between the activated charcoal filter (21) and an intake tract (25) of the internal combustion engine (6).
