The tire (12) has a pneumatic cavity (40), an air passageway (43) between the pneumatic cavity (40) and atmosphere, and a filter (1700) disposed between the pneumatic cavity (40) and atmosphere. The filter (1700) is constructed of a hydrophobic material or comprises a filter element (1711) constructed of a hydrophobic material.
