HYBRID CORD FOR USE AS A SUPPORT IN A BELT OF A PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TYRE

The invention relates to a hybrid cord for use as a strength member in a belt ply of a vehicle pneumatic tire, composed of a high-modulus yarn with a specified yarn fineness and a low-modulus yarn, wherein the low-modulus yarn has a lower yarn fineness than the high-modulus yarn and wherein the two yarns are twisted together, as well as a vehicle pneumatic tire which has a belt ply with such a hybrid cord as a strength member. The invention is distinguished by the fact that the low-modulus yarn has a fineness of at most 550 dtex and that the high-modulus yarn has a fineness of at least 1100 dtex.
