According to the invention, an injector is provided with at least one sensor 16 for detecting a surface deformation on the injector, wherein the sensor is to be mounted on the injector body 1 in such a way that reliable functioning of both the injector and the sensor is ensured. This is achieved by arranging a pressure rod 15 on the injector body 1 and gluing the sensor 16 to the pressure rod 15. The pressure rod 15 is arranged between an abutment 12 fastened to the injector body 1 and the injector body 1 in the region of a membrane-shaped wall adjoining the surface, in particular adjoining a high-pressure line 10.",
