The device (10) comprises an input interface (12) that is designed to receive an input signal. The input signal comprises information about at least one position of a touch on a display device (100) or information about a contactless gesture. The device (10) further comprises a processor (14) that is designed to generate a video or control signal so that a display area (30) can be displayed by the display device (100). The processor (14) is further designed to determine a movement relative to the display area (30) based on the input signal. The processor (14) is further designed to select an adjustable function from a plurality of adjustable functions of a climate control system of the vehicle based on a movement determined in a first direction. The processor (14) is further designed to adjust a value of the selected adjustable function based on a movement determined in a second direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction. The device (10) further comprises an output device (16) that is designed to provide the video or control signal to the display device (100).",
