A convertible roof fabric on a laminate basis, comprising - a woven upper layer (2), - a woven lower layer (3), and - a bonding layer (4) arranged between these two layers (2, 3) for laminating them, wherein the upper layer (2) and/or the lower layer (3) consist of a polyester fabric and the bonding layer (4) consists of a silicone elastomer.
