Amon Amarth Command Your Full Attention

The heavy metal icons make another stop in the tri-state area.

There are very few bands in the metal community quite as engaging as Amon Amarth. Every time they tour in the United States, it becomes an event for the heavy music community. This night was no exception.

The bill was stacked, with Castle rat and Dethklok also performing in New York City. The Brooklyn Paramount made for…

1 Popular WordPress redirect plugin hid dormant backdoor for years (Bill Toulas for Bleeping Computer. April 29, 2026.)

Not popular enough for me to have been using it (but do attend to the issue if you happen to be running Quick Page/Post Redirect on WordPress).

Mid-March Snow in Brooklyn (2021 and 2026)

At about 4:00 PM on March 12, 2026, a friend of mine who lines nearby in Brooklyn sent me a message on Delta Chat: it's snowing. I turned my head to the right to look out my window. Indeed, it was snowing. The snow would stop and start again. As of 5:12 PM, it is not snowing. This snow in March reminded me of an article I published on NLJ five years ago titled A Brief Mid-March Snow in Brooklyn.…
