Matzen ist ein lustiges Dorf im Weinviertel. Es liegt am Rand des Gänserndorfer Beckens und man merkt schon den Einfluss der Ölfelder. Hier wird ein Bohrturm von der Hl. Barbara beschützt. Diese Figur befindet sich beim Eingang der Pfarrkirche von Matzen, die in den späten 50er Jahren renoviert und erweitert worden ist.
