Syed Abid Rashid Shah, an IAS officer from Jammu and Kashmir, has been given the additional charge of Chandigarh's Health and Medical Education Department. The appointment is a temporary measure to ensure the department's smooth functioning.

Mukesh Singh, currently DGP of Ladakh, has been approved for inter-cadre deputation to Manipur. He is expected to take over as the state's new police chief, bringing extensive experience in counter-insurgency operations.

Four Indian Forest Service officers of the AGMUT cadre have been transferred, with postings assigned to Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir segments. One officer's tenure has also been extended.
