"It's a project that we're really perfect for addressing in coordination with our sponsors and the other agencies here," said Mike Records.
According to a union survey, 43% of regional employees living in New York City and Long Island would leave the Army Corps of Engineers over a longer commute.
“The focus is on helping the applicant get to 'yes' by making sure the proposal complies with the law, allows for reasonable development," Jay Townsend said.
The companies will be “responsible for financing, building, operating, maintaining and decommissioning the data centers...at no upfront costs to taxpayers."
