City of Calgary officials are recommending a refined scope for the strategy, entitled Home is Here, to help meet non-market targets.

The fourth and final instalment of Calgary's funding comes with new conditions including four units as a right on 'a significant majority' of residential lots across the city.

A coalition of housing advocates accused Calgary's mayor of breaking a campaign promise to repeal and replace citywide rezoning with a new plan to build more housing.

The move means 306,774 residential properties across Calgary will be redesignated back to their original low-density residential districts.

As of Monday morning, City of Calgary officials confirmed a total of 526 people had signed up to speak on whether or not council should repeal citywide rezoning.
