A competitive keyboard that stumbles in more casual settings.
A competitive keyboard that stumbles in more casual settings.
Either that or about 5,000 Primogems.
It's hard to find a keyboard that's satisfying for both writing and gaming and I'm not sure the perfect board even exists. But while I wait to find it, these are the keyboards I keep coming back to, for one reason or another.
It's wired-only, but don't let that put you off.
H2Oh, that's kinda neat.
Here's hoping the price is lighter.
Though the lack of lettering looks like a bit of a mare.
A clacking good time?
And yes, that's a split space bar, too.
There's more to this knob than meets the eye.
Cherry XTRFY launched the first 8K ultra-wideband wireless gaming keyboard at Computex 2026. The keyboard features a 70-percent layout, low-profile switches, and a gasket mount design.
Not content with that, Keychron is also rocking the world's lowest of low-profile magnetic keyboards.
Asus’ latest gaming keyboard celebrates two decades of ROG with gold-plated accents, 8K polling, transparent switches and keycaps, an OLED touchscreen, and a hefty $599 asking price to match its 4.6-pound weight with its wrist rest.
A lovely keyboard I couldn't actually recommend buying, unless you're a big space nerd in need of a touchscreen.
Might be a bit galling for a company that's better known for making laptops.
Now that's my kinda doc.
A matter of taste.
Logitech's first foray into TMR switches is a triumph, and easily one of the best gaming keyboards I've used in recent memory.
Most of them go "clickety clack." Sorry for spoilers.
One of the first times I remember seeing an optical analog gaming keyboard hit the mainsteam was the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog launch in 2021 - what feels like naffing ages ago now. Since then, we've seen keyboards gain more controller-like tech, like rapid trigger inputs and Hall Effect switches, but optical analog boards are where it all started, and the Huntsman v2 Analog remains a fine option…
The new Framework Wireless Touchpad Keyboard can be bought whole or in bits.
The Keychron Q6 Ultra 8K is a full-size wireless mechanical gaming keyboard with an 8 KHz polling rate and an impressive 660 hours of battery life at that polling rate. However, its high-profile keycaps and slightly heavy tactile switches weren't our favorite.
The HyperX Eve 1800 is not a good keyboard, even for $50, as it’s lacking in features and not pleasant to use.
It even offers a license to sell homemade accessories you make.
Maybe it was the past few months of RAMnarök hacking away at my optimism, but my first thoughts upon handling the fifty-buck Epomaker HE68 Lite fixated on how it might not just be cheap in the good way. Surrounded by a bezel of hollow, slightly scratchy plastic, it certainly lacks the reassuringly brick-like heft that most mech boards have over their membraned cousins, to an extent that’s only…
It ticks all of the right boxes, but I was left wanting just a little more.
Two of my favourite things in one adorable unit.
The Logitech G515 Lightspeed TKL first launched back in mid-2024 as a more affordable alternative to the Swiss brand's all-conquering G915 TKL. It retained enough of the fundamentals - solid chassis, snappy low-profile switches, reliable wireless connectivity and so on - to make it feel like a strong value proposition at the time, although with current sales, has been made an even better one. I'm…
Asus' new ROG Strix Morph 96 Wireless keyboard is a well-built wireless mechanical gaming keyboard with great battery life and a compact 96-percent layout. It feels and sounds great and it doesn't rely on Asus' Armoury Crate, and it retails for just $140. But you can get its pricier older sibling for less, right now.
Epomaker's RT82 is a retro-inspired all-plastic wireless mechanical keyboard with a detachable mini LCD screen and ultra-quiet keypresses.
