Phagwara police have booked six individuals for criminal trespass and assault. In separate incidents, arrests were made for theft, drug peddling, and liquor smuggling, with administrative changes also announced for local police stations.

Punjab police have arrested six individuals in separate operations across Phagwara and surrounding areas. The arrests include cases of drug peddling, attempt to murder, kidnapping, and dowry harassment. One migrant worker also lost his life due to electrocution.

Police in Anantnag district of South Kashmir have arrested two alleged drug peddlers and seized over 4 kilograms of charas-like substance and Rs 50,000 in cash during a naka checking. An FIR has been registered, and an investigation is underway to dismantle the narcotics network.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration, in coordination with the police, demolished three houses belonging to alleged drug peddlers in Kathua district as part of an intensified anti-drug campaign. The structures were reportedly illegally constructed on state government land and are valued at over Rs 1 crore.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested 11 suspected drug peddlers in coordinated operations across Anantnag, Pulwama, Handwara, Baramulla, and Bandipora. The police also seized substantial amounts of contraband, including charas and suspected heroin-like substances, along with cash and vehicles.

Jammu's Senior Superintendent of Police Joginder Singh has termed the pervasive drug menace a conspiracy by an 'enemy country' and vowed strict accountability for police personnel, stating that local station house officers will be held responsible for the presence of drug peddlers in their jurisdictions.
