More than 20 people are sick in Denmark as part of a Salmonella outbreak.

Since mid-May, the Statens Serum Institut (SSI) has recorded 25 cases of monophasic Salmonella Typhimurium.

Patients are 11 males and 14 females. Sick people are between 8 and 81 years old with a median age

Salmonella was found in a dust sample taken from a Laerco BV chicken coop and subsequent analysis revealed it was the same type detected in patients.

Patients are mostly children aged 4 to 12

A company in England has been fined for food safety failings behind a Salmonella outbreak in 2024.

Bracknell Tangs Management, the operator of Tangs Oriental Buffet Restaurant in Bracknell, pleaded guilty to four food safety offences in April at Reading Magistrates Court and was fined £25,000 ($34,000)
